Safety and Connection
Details
This offering is a partnership between Dear Woman of Culture and Resilience Nest, held over 10 weeks, beginning 22 September and running through 24 November.
We gather online, every Thursday, from 16:30 to 18:00.
Safety is not the absence of difference. It is what makes difference bearable. And beautiful.
You are tired because you have been carrying more than most people see, a career, a culture, a family, a country that is not always easy to belong to. This gathering was built for that. A space where people of culture come together, not despite what separates them, but through it.
Before we decide its shape, we want to hear from you.
Safety Is Not Sameness.
As people of culture, our experiences are not generic. They are shaped by lineage, by history, by the specific weight of navigating a world that was not built with us in mind. The Safety & Connection Program was created with that truth at its center: offering real tools for emotional regulation, deeper connection, and the felt sense of safety that so many of us have had to build for ourselves, alone.
We work through the lens of Polyvagal Theory, the science of safety, not as a replacement for ancestral wisdom, but as a bridge. A way to understand what our bodies have always known, now held in language the nervous system can recognise. This is a space to explore, to heal, and to grow, together.
What you'll learn
You'll come to understand how your nervous system shapes your emotions and your relationships, not as something abstract, but as something deeply, daily lived.
You'll develop practical ways to build safety, both within yourself and in the spaces and relationships around you.
You'll strengthen connection, to your community, your relationships, and the ties that hold you.
And you'll be invited to see your cultural heritage not as something to manage around your healing, but as one of its greatest resources.
The Framework.

We are holding one question before we go further. We want your honest answer. There is no wrong one.
